Based on word-of-mouth recommendations and the plethora of “sold” signs plastered with her name in our neighbourhood, we deliberately sought out Josie early on — while our plans to buy and sell were still simmering — to share her thoughts about our properties. We were instantly impressed by her no-nonsense professionalism as well as the breadth of her knowledge of the Toronto real estate market, which (as we all know) can be challenging to navigate. The properties she sent us clearly reflected her understanding of what we’d told her. She did not flood our email with dozens of properties; instead, she selected only those that matched what we were looking for. She took us to several properties before we found the one we wanted. At each turn, she gave us candid, thoughtful, and wise advice. When we finally decided on a house, she executed the transaction with absolute professionalism and efficiency. However, our admiration for Josie really grew once we began preparing our current house for sale. She sagely convinced us to stage and de-clutter our home (and set a reasonable price point); she outlined her marketing strategy in detail and executed it exactly as she’d promised; she solicited and incorporated our suggestions seamlessly into the feature sheet and other marketing items, and both she and her assistant, Donna, received our many changes and corrections with patience and aplomb. She knew that we knew our home best. Though we relied completely on her wisdom as an experienced real estate agent, throughout the entire process, she treated us like business partners. Perhaps most importantly, she and Donna were readily accessible at all times, responding to calls and emails within half an hour — especially impressive given the huge number of clients they serve.
We were never left hanging; we never felt like someone else’s sale was more important than ours. On offer night, Josie once again demonstrated the quick thinking and unflagging, confident professionalism we had come to know as her trademark.
As a result, we sold our house for a record price, two days after our Open House — and we are thrilled. Josie is calm and composed, but she is clearly a woman of action. She knows her market, she works hard for all her clients, and she is refreshingly honest and direct. No one who is fortunate enough to work with her will be disappointed.
